AB Neo helps with "Immune system"

AB Neo’s approach to boost the immune system of young chicks and turkey poults naturally

Dietary immunomodulators, such as yeast β-glucan and mannan oligosaccharides, are attracting significant attention from the animal feed industry. The effect of these components is somehow similar to classic growth promoters in young birds. The use of yeast β-glucan and mannan oligosaccharides in the birds’ diets may significantly minimize the use of antibiotics, hence reducing the possible occurrence of drug resistance bacteria.

Alphasoy Gold is produced by co-processing SBM and yeast fractions. The yeast fractions Mannan and Beta- 1.3/1.6 Glucan have been carefully selected and rigorously tested by the AB Neo team to ensure that only the best performing bio-active components are included at exactly the right dose, to achieve the optimal immunomodulatory effects.

"This is how we achieve it"

Activation of macrophages

The yeast β-glucans and mannan components of Alphasoy Gold have a unique ability to bind with different surface receptors (eg. Dectin-1 or CR3 receptors) on macrophages and polymorphonuclear cells (PMNCs). Such binding will activate macrophages/lymphocytes, leading to the formation of inflammatory cytokines, leukotriene, interleukins and the stimulation of phagocytosis for microbial killing.

Improving the functionality of epithelial cells

The yeast β-glucan components of Alphasoy Gold can improve villus height and crypt depth and their ratio in the duodenum and ileum. It restores villus damage/loss caused by infections such as Salmonella spp. Yeast β-glucans also enhance goblet cell numbers and upregulate mucin-2 production from them, which may modulate the intestinal profile of cytokines and reduce the severity of cocci lesions caused by Eimeria Spp.

Enhancing mucosal immune response

The yeast mannan and β-glucans components of Alphasoy Gold have an ability to increase mucosal IgA concentration. IgA can attach to the parasite’s surface, preventing them from binding with epithelial cells. Such a mechanism will decrease the development of sporozoites or merozoites within the bird’s gut, thus reducing coccidial oocyte excretion in faeces.

Preserving intercellular junctional complexes

Epithelial cells are tightly bound together by intercellular junctional complexes (known as T junction). When this barrier becomes compromised, the passage of harmful molecules can occur and result in both an inflammatory and immune response. The yeast β-glucan component of Alphasoy Gold may increase jejunal TJ protein expressions such as occluding and claudin-1. Yeast Beta- 1.3/1.6 Glucan may increase the intestinal clearance of numerous imperative bacteria by protecting intestinal barriers, stimulating phagocytosis and suppressing pathogen invasion into organs.
