Dairy & beef farmers know that whole milk is nature’s way of giving calves the best possible start.

It  provides exactly what every calf needs for excellent growth and development. However, feeding whole milk to calves can present farmers with challenges in consistency, contamination and disease even with pasteurisation.

In developing Nativa, AB Neo has approached milk from the neonate’s requirements and applied its years of experience in Calf Milk Replacers to take a fresh look at what calves require – taking inspiration from nature’s perfect model.

The nutrient profile of whole milk provides calves with fat levels in excess of protein levels and the fat in whole milk has a specific VFA profile. Typically calf milk replacers are formulated to have fat levels lower than protein and a fat profile which favours cost of raw materials rather than a nutritional optimum in contrast to nature’s approach.

Nativa is a scientific breakthrough in calf milk replacers. Its unique blend of fats produce a VFA profile much closer than whole milk and when mixed correctly, delivers protein and fat levels equivalent to those consumed naturally by calves in whole milk, direct from their mother leading to stronger calves.

Nutrition similar to whole milk but without the risks

Dairy farmers can now offer their calves a milk that is very close to whole milk but without the risks of disease, consistency and contamination often experienced with whole milk.

Nativa avoids the risks often associated with feeding whole milk:

  • Anti-biotic contamination

  • Transferable diseases (eg Johne’s disease)

  • Save on pasteurisation investment and running costs

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

A complete milk replacer for calves is intended for calves after the termination of colostrum period up to their weaning. Nativa should be stored in a cool dry place. Recommended dilution - 1:7. Offer between 600g and 900g /day. Do not feed to sheep/lambs.
