When looking for these innovators, the opportunity that the neonate provides to define an animal’s lifetime performance became very clear. AB Neo is the result of pooling the wisdom of this group of innovators and Malcolm is here to support our customers by continuing to deliver a culture within AB Neo which refuses to accept the status quo and consequently finds the next breakthrough for livestock producers.

Ben has helped to develop several market leading companion animal nutrition businesses over the last 15 years. With strategic sales, marketing and product development experience, Ben is here to make things as easy as possible for our partners and distributors, helping them grow and meet their own commercial objectives with AB Neo. A qualified Applied Zoologist, he is the author of an industry-leading title that has now been translated into 5 different languages.

Paul Toplis

Technical Director – Swine

The majority of Paul’s professional career has been devoted to improving pig performance by bringing science into pig nutrition and practice. In 2011 this was recognised when Paul received the David Black award for outstanding and sustained contribution to the UK pig industry. Paul has and continues to serve of numerous industry committees and boards including; over twenty years on the Agricultural Industries Federation Legal Affairs and Scientific Committee and over thirty years on various AIC working parties, current member of both the Responsible Use of Medicines in Agriculture Board and NPA Allied Industry Committee and two recent terms on the Pig Veterinary Society Executive. In 1996, together with three fellow directors, he formed Primary Diets, a leading UK starter feed business where he served as technical director until late 2014.

Josef Rous

Josef studied econometrics in the US before returning to the Czech Republic to complete a degree in Agricultural economics at the University of Prague. After graduation he started specialising in Ruminant nutrition. Josef’s approach is that the animal is the customer rather than the producer and has focused his developments by observing animal behaviour and applying mathematical skills to find innovative solutions in ruminant nutrition and well being. Josef’s mission is to continually bring a fresh perspective to our R&D and product development efforts and to support our customers in the implementation of our unique product lines.

UK Ruminant Sales Manager – North

Kenny has worked in the animal feed industry for over 26 years, with a number of industry leading companies. His broad base of nutritional knowledge over the Dairy, Beef & Sheep industry is extensive, with a passion for growing young animals to another level, which has allowed his clients to fully exploit the potential of their animals. He has written a number of challenging articles for the beef and sheep industry focusing on how to feed for the optimal commercial return.

Cristina Migliavacca

Cristina Migliavacca
European Technical Sales Manager

Cristina is Brazilian and graduated in veterinary medicine in 2008 and since then has focused on nutrition and performance in swine. She joined AB Neo in 2016 and has extensive on-farm experience, working with farms to ensure they are optimising their neonatal management to maximise lifetime performance. Cristina’s all-round on-farm technical and commercial knowledge enables her to offer other options on management and nutrition from the neonate through to finishing.

Tim Hudson
UK Ruminant Sales Manager – South

Tim has worked in the dairy and wider farming industry for over 12 years, undertaking various roles that have given him a thorough understanding of the industry. His passion for farming coupled with his knowledge of agro-economics is applied to the rearing and management of young stock in particular. Over the years he has worked with dairy farmers throughout the British Isles enabling many to increase their profit margins significantly.

Tim Kingdon
Commercial Support Manager

Based at the AB Neo HQ in Peterborough, Tim works closely with the on-farm sales team, applying the ‘anything is possible’ approach to the supply chain to ensure our farmers and distributors get the very best from our products and services.  A former Customer Services Manager and National Account Manager, coupled with a background in FMCG and Food Service stretching back 20 years, Tim’s focus at the AB Neo nerve-centre is making sure everything from a customer’s perspective is working as efficiently and effectively as possible.

Ben Shaw
UK Ruminant Sales Manager – Midlands

Ben is an AMTRA qualified SQP who is passionate about livestock health and performance. He has worked within the agricultural industry for over 45 years. In that time he has had extensive hands-on experience working within all livestock sectors with a particular interest in the sheep, beef and dairy sectors. This interest in livestock health and performance led him to work for a number of industry leading feed supplement companies. He has spent over 30 years assisting farmers throughout the UK improve their livestock’s health and performance, with a resultant improvement in their margins and profitability. Ben believes that neonates hold the key to lifetime performance and how we manage our young stock in their early days and weeks of life has a significant impact on their future health and lifetime performance.   Being based in Cheshire, he is perfectly situated to give farmers the very best support.
